Backtagging: I'll continue a thread for several months, typically, as long as there is still interest.
Threadhopping: If it suits the thread it's fine, though usually prefer to be asked first.

Offensive subjects: Nothing notable.

Physical Affection: Dorian isn't going to initiate much unless he's interested in someone, and even then, nothing too overt. His reactions to contact from other people may vary depending on the situation. Casual, mundane touches are generally fine. More extreme ones (hugging, kissing) will range from grudging acceptance to outright offense.
Fighting: Really into doing fighting or sparring threads. Dorian is a powerful mage with a variety of spells and styles in his arsenal, so it's interesting to pit him against other characters of all sorts. Even simply physical sparring with a staff could be fun.
Injury: Open to it, especially minor ones. Ask about anything major.
Death: Probably not, unless it's the express purpose of the thread.
Romance: Dorian's relationship with...relationships is complicated, though I'm 100% down for shipping. Men only, obviously.
Writing Style
For longer threads, I typically prefer prose over brackets/action spam, but will happily write either if you have a preference. I love worldbuilding, exposition, and building CR/history between characters, especially on memes, in order to give the threads more context. Assumed CR is fine, even welcome, as long as we have something to back it up. Tag length varies, though I do have the tendency to ramble with introspection sometimes. Never feel like you need to match length or anything like that. As long as your reply leaves something to respond to I'm perfectly happy. Likewise, sometimes tags may get shorter in scenes which require a little more back-and-forth action. Never be afraid to message me if you have questions about a thread, or ideas as to where we could take it. I love collaboration.
World State
This is how I play Dorian by default for gen threads, though of course any of these can be altered to taste depending on the thread.
The Inquisitor is Lavellan, a warrior, and a woman, who sided with the mages.
Dorian and the Inquisitor are close friends.
Dorian did not stay to hear Halward out.
Dorian and Bull are together.
Cassandra is Divine.
The Inquisition was disbanded.
Shipping
For castmates, I'm most partial to Bull, the Inquisitor, Fenris, or Anders, though I'm open to trying out just about any of the male companions from DA:O, DA2, or DA:I, provided with the right set-up.
Also very open to cross-canon, as long as there's chemistry between the characters. Discussing assumed CR is great for that.
AUs
I'm fine with AUing other characters into Thedas, or AUing Dorian out of it. However, I'm not interested in playing in a historial or modern-day setting without fantasy elements. In-canon AUs are great, especially playing with timelines in order to put characters in places they may not have otherwise been.
